The reason for incorporating the
Control4®
"Home Automation System" within the Grand Fir Lodge is to make a guests stay as
enjoyable and hassle free as possible when it comes
to electronic entertainment and comfort. Rather than
spending your time trying to figure out how to
operate a TV or a DVD movie with several remote
controls, the core of the operation of the Control4
system is a single remote control for all home
automation functions. This includes Home Theater, Satellite TV, Napster Music, Tune-in Radio, Speaker Zones, Lights, External Cameras, Blu-ray or Standard DVD Player, Fireplaces and Thermostats. By
pressing a single button on the remote control, the
guest is presented with a simple selection menu on
any of the seven TV's or the 7" wall mounted touch screen.
There are nine Speaker Zones
(speaker pairs) in the Lodge and in the outside
terraces. You may select a single zone or combine
several zones to share the listening experience of
selected Music or TV.
Without getting out of your seat, you may turn
off the Music, turn on the DVD player, dim the
lights, turn on the fireplace and check on guests arriving
at the front door all with the single Control4 remote
control.
Napster Music
The best way of describing a Napster Music system is to say it's
like an on-line iPod with access to thousands of
songs of any genre. You simply select a song, an
album, build a play list, search for songs and/or
artists and then present the music in any
combination of Speaker Zones in the Lodge.
Watching Movies
There are six Blu-ray DVD players
in the Lodge that may either use Super HiDef Blu-ray
DVD's or standard DVD's. All Blu-ray DVD players also connect to Netflix streaming video (Using Grand Fir Lodge Netflix accounts). The HDTV's attached to the Blu-ray
players are Sony Bravia's ranging from 42" to 65".
There are a broad range of DVD videos for your
viewing pleasure already at the Grand Fir.
Dish Satellite TV
With six individual Dish Satellite receivers, guests can watch
their own individual channel without having to share
a receiver (and same channel) among other TV's.
